Social Marketing & PR Manager

The Social Marketing & PR Manager plays the pivotal role of maintaining KERV’s voice and brand to the public. They are responsible for supporting dynamic sales initiatives and technical communication about our products and features to our current and potential clients.

This position is fast paced and requires a full understanding of KERV’s technology along with the social and digital media processes and will be expected to quickly shift focus between a multitude of tasks. This candidate will report to the VP of Creative and work closely with the executive team. 

Responsibilites:

  • Develop and implement communications programs and social marketing materials
  • Manage all of KERV’s social media platforms, including:
    • Create unique social posts for organic and paid distribution
    • Like/Share/Comment on valid industry or client related content
    • Report performance on organic and paid posts
      • Proactively build recommendations and strategies for generating page likes, audience engagement and generating legitimate leads
  • Manage Blog and Press pages on website
    • Write relevant blogs
    • Partner with other KERV Team-members on posts
    • Manage communication with vendors, media relations and/or influences on blog and social content
    • Upload and link all KERV press release picks-ups to our press page
  • Assist in writing press-releases for KERV announcements, successes and/or new products and features
  • Manage award submissions
    • With knowledge of KERV’s technology along with a good understanding of our active campaigns, recommend the best awards and categories for KERV and its clients
    • Write and submit all award submissions
  • Manage basic Search campaigns (syncing them with other social/marketing initiatives)
    • Work with creative team to build out priority keywords
    • Create a system that helps tie search initiatives to drive more traffic to KERV properties
  • Produce an annual social media and marketing plan with recommendations on what KERV should focus on for social, press, awards and general marketing
    • Each plan will build off learnings from the previous year
  • Produce Website, Social Platform, Search and Lead Generation reporting
    • Recommend website adjustments to help SEO scores and increase site performance
      • Ex: Copy adjustments, page adjustments, title adjustments, keywork adjustments
    • Recommend social media adjustments to help grow our audience and generate leads

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years in social marketing management (or related)
  • Commitment to excellence and a proven record of social marketing and PR achievements against set goals
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication: emails, phone, in-person, video call
  • Technical understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of Google Suite (Docs, Slides, etc.) & Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, excel, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Analytics (and/or Moz, Yoast, etc.)
  • Highly efficient and self-motivated with the ability to work with multiple internal disciplines, tools and platforms
  • Highly organized and pays strong attention to detail
  • A true passion for interactive video technology, digital media and social media marketing
  • An understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and technologies, including programmatic (e.g., SSPs, AdExchanges, DSPs, DMPs etc.)
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Experience with Hubspot (Hubspot Inbound Certification) is a plus
