Senior Digital Strategist

This role will be responsible for multiple key areas that are heavily influential to client satisfaction and evolution of client management. Daily tasks will range from data analysis of campaigns managed, vetting of strategic media plans that support winning new business/retaining existing business, formulation of new client support processes, and continually learning both internal and 3rd-party systems to maximize efficiency of the role. This person will be required to stay current on Kerv’s technology and feature releases, test the releases to understand the impact of those releases to their clients’ campaigns, and how to position their implementation to clients. This role will also have a supporting oversight component of queue management for junior level roles in the department in partnership with the department’s Manager.

Seeking a candidate with a strong analytical mind who is process-oriented, articulate, and an effective communicator regarding complex offerings and product positioning. Experience in media – media trading/buying, strategy and client management – is preferred but not required. At least 4 years of direct, live client communication experience via email, phone/Slack call/Go-To Meeting, etc., is required with a secondary preference being data management experience in the tech or media industry.


  • Ensure media plans submitted by Kerv Pre-Sales/Planning team are strategic and executable
  • Assess log-level data and apply strategic optimizations to live campaigns
  • Analyze data thoughtfully as it pertains to keeping best practices current
  • Thoughtfully assess processes along with junior team support and review with Deleyla to maximize efficiency
  • Forge supply-side partnerships for efficiency including negotiation
  • Margin management
  • Professionally articulate campaign results to clients
  • Demonstrate proficiency with all systems used for day-to-day tasks quickly
  • Proficiency with company terminology to hold thoughtful strategy conversations with Digital Strategy team, the Pre-Sales team, and clients
  • Provide data recommendations and strategic insights to Pre-Sales team to aid their efforts
  • Assist Manager with documentation and maintenance of processes/best practices
  • Write proactive and reactive POVs on relevant industry shifts that could have an impact on our core business

Job Requirements:

  • Education level: Undergraduate Degree (or) an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 4+ years of industry-related experience
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience managing client relationships with confidence 
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel including but not limited to particularly complex formulas, pivot tables, utilization and development of macros for streamlining data analysis processes, etc. is required
  • Knowledge of CRMs, Project Management Tools (Teamwork), Media platforms – ad servers, DSPs, etc., PowerPoint, Reporting, Google Sheets/Slides, Reporting platforms (ex. Looker)
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking demonstrated by a high attention to detail
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient teambuilding skills with established history of solution-oriented, problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated via clear and confident communication with both team members and clients
  • Able to resolve client issues efficiently, effectively and expeditiously in an independent manner 
  • Highly organized, process-oriented and proactive
  • High degree of accountability and integrity
  • Able to remain on task and avoid distraction
  • Demonstrated history of completing tasks and projects on time without sacrificing high quality of work
