The Role

KERV Interactive is looking for an NYC-based  Director of Marketing with a proven track record of building brand awareness and affinity, driving market demand, and increasing customer lifetime value to lead and build KERV’s marketing function. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep industry knowledge and network, and creative mindset to develop KERV’s marketing strategy.

This role will work closely with our C-suite to make an impact during this time of hyper-growth at KERV (and beyond). At the onset, you’ll function as a senior-level individual contributor with the sole focus of driving and building the KERV brand.  

You are a player/coach who strategizes and successfully  executes as the primary  branding strategy (with the support of the Creative, Sales, and Operations teams) force of KERV. You will be the organizational catalyst for ground-breaking and creative brand work . When it comes to industry, consumer, marketing and business strategy your bold perspective is founded on your unique professional experience. Your ideas are innovative while grounded  in your technical ability and deep, analytical thinking. 


  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions with the rest of the leadership team that generate creative, out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Partner with Senior Leaders to plan and execute innovative and effective client facing events and product launches.
  • Define and manage KERV’s short and long term marketing strategy– including the definition and tracking of meaningful metrics and KPI’s.
  • Create and own KERV’s industry event strategy, ensuring that we are capitalizing on every event-based opportunity and growing our industry impact- inclusive of maximizing investments across channels.
  • Act as project manager for key internal marketing initiatives (like employer brand needs) and ultra-high-value client campaigns.
  • In partnership with creative, operations, and sales leaders, manage a cross-functional marketing strategy to design and deliver sophisticated marketing programs that build KERV’s reputation, drive growth, and deepen our relationships with existing stakeholders.
  • Oversee brand strategy for paid media and sponsorships, premium content creation, employer branding, in addition to cross-promoting KERV’s technology solutions and expanding our strategic services revenue streams.
  • Assist in the strategy and development of the marketing budget and goals that support business OKRs and targets.
  • Work closely with leaders to develop and refine target customer segments, and identify new opportunities and tactics for customer/client acquisition and organic growth.
  • Deepen brand affinity across our customers, our people and external target audiences, and define and sustain KPIs to demonstrate performance, analyze results, and provide learnings and recommendations on how to improve.
  • Build forecasts and projections that relate to the expected ROI on marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with stakeholders and internal/external teams to build out multi-media promotional strategies and marketing materials, and thought leadership.
  • Manage relationship with outside Public Relations firm
  • Stay up to speed with competitors’ marketing and content strategies and utilize findings to fuel the KERV brand’s SWOT on a quarterly basis.


  • You have a diverse and finely cultivated toolbelt of resources to help build brands, plan strategies and find insights.
  • You’re based in/near NYC and so is your impressive professional/personal network.
  • Your deep understanding of the advertising and media industries is rivaled only by your ever-expanding industry connections– you’ve spent years painstakingly building both!
  • You articulate a confident domain expertise when discussing any client industry, brand, consumer segment, and/or communication platform.
  • You have 7+ years of relevant advertising/marketing experience to build brands and their footprint in a competitive landscape. If you’ve worked on the agency side, clients have attempted to hire you on multiple occasions. If your career has been spent at big brands, you know what it takes to leverage (and manage) external partnerships.
  • Bonus points if you have experience on both the buying and selling sides of the industry.
  • Degree in communications, advertising, brand planning or business a plus (that said, we know a track record of meaningful industry experience and wins is more telling than your college class ring).
